Degree Requirements for BA in Business Adminstration & Management—Nonprofit
The Business Administration & Management/Nonprofit major is housed within the Degree Completion Program of the Business Administration Department.
The degree allows individuals to learn about the nonprofit sector, board management, budgeting, fundraising for important causes, and sustainability. Students also focus on organizational change, communication skills, and human resources.
The program is ideal for individuals from a number of fields, and has merit for middle managers, technical employees, and clerical personnel, as well as anyone currently working as an employee or volunteer in a nonprofit organization.
The BA degree is comprised of:
- General University Requirements (GURs)
- Major courses focused on management and administration issues
- Emphasis courses addressing issues specific to management in Nonprofit organizations
- Electives
- A minimum of 128 credits
Students can earn the BA online while living and working in any Alaskan community.
